Best Western Ruby’s Inn
26 South Main Street
Bryce Canyon City, UT 84764
We hadn’t planned well and landed in Bryce Canyon City wondering if we’d end up sleeping in the car. We knew one of the two hotels accepted pets, but we weren’t sure which (since they were both Best Westerns) and we didn’t know if there would be any rooms available.
Enter Best Western Ruby’s Inn to the rescue! Not only are they pet-friendly, Ruby’s Inn has everything: food store, gas station, post office, souvenir shop, restaurants, and great rooms. To top it off, the staff behind the desk that evening was first class: attentive, helpful, friendly and polite. The hotel lobby itself was an experience, like we’d stepped into a huge hunting lodge on the wild frontier. We’d lucked out, indeed.
The motel room was big and clean, and free of bed bugs. We were able to park right in front of the room – convenient. The internet worked that evening, but in the morning it was down. We assumed it was because of the big storm headed our way. This posed a problem because we couldn’t look up dog-friendly motels in Moab. So I called the front desk but the response was nowhere nearly as good as the previous evening. When I went to the lobby to check out, I asked the young lady to call ahead to Moab for us to see if they took pets. She looked at me like she’d never heard of someone asking such a thing before but made the call. Unfortunately, we would have to look elsewhere for a hotel to take Mr. Pish when we reached Moab.
Other than that young lady, EVERYONE at Ruby’s Inn was incredibly friendly and helpful. When I walked into the store with my empty ice bucket in hand, the manager came over and asked what kind of ice I liked best and pointed me to the machine that made it. The young man at the front desk (Scott) sent someone to my room with a note concerning my rewards points. The off-season rate including donation to the National Park came to under $72. That included Mr. Pish. For the level of service and quality of the facility, that price is next to insane, but welcome, for certain. I would recommend Ruby’s Inn to everyone.
